Dr. Robert Avossa is an accomplished education leader and executive consultant with over 25 years of experience driving student success and operational excellence in some of the nation’s largest school districts. As the founder of K-12 Leadership Matters and cofounder of The Forum for Educational Leaders, he partners with districts across the country to improve outcomes for students and reinvest in programs that support the most vulnerable. Previously, he served as Superintendent of Palm Beach County Schools—the 10th largest district in the U.S.—and Fulton County Schools in Georgia, where both systems saw rapid gains in achievement, graduation rates, and overall district performance. A Broad Academy Fellow and advisor to Chiefs for Change, Dr. Avossa continues to shape the national dialogue on education leadership. Fun fact: when he’s not helping school systems thrive, he’s likely offshore fishing near his home in Jupiter, Florida.
