Detailed info

Courtney Reilly has spent her career at the intersection of impact and growth in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. Most recently shepherding the development of her own education technology startup, Skillsline, Courtney also spends time supporting the growth of other mission-driven organizations.

Beginning her career in management consulting at Bain & Co., Courtney worked across a range of industries helping companies to navigate strategic decisions and drive performance improvement. This led to a stint with economic development consulting firm OTF Group in Rwanda, supporting the growth of connected ecosystems to build internationally-competitive industries within the country.

Post-MBA, Courtney spent time at investment bank Credit Suisse focused on M&A and strategic financing deals for multinational education companies, before transitioning to boutique edtech merchant bank GSV Advisors. At GSV, she advised early-stage, venture-backed companies on business model and story development, while leading deals to support clients’ next phase of growth.

Beginning in 2015, Courtney spent six years leading the K-12 Program at the ASU+GSV Summit, an annual talent-development innovation conference drawing 5,000+ attendees from around the globe. During her tenure, she increased K-12 programming four-fold, while creating the Summit’s sponsor-backed Leading Educator Scholarship Program, enabling the attendance of thousands of innovative school and district leaders. Simultaneously, Courtney led market development efforts for Chicago-based nonprofit LEAP Innovations, identifying strategic growth opportunities and expanding the reach of its research-backed personalized learning tools from local partners to 450 schools across 26 states.

Founded in late 2020, Skillsline uses modern technology and learning science to teach the foundations of human skills that empower early career success and economic mobility. In her co-founder role, Courtney leads growth strategy and product development for Skillsline. Through her personal consulting firm Inama (meaning advice in the Rwandan language of Kinyarwanda), Courtney continues to support the growth of mission-driven organizations to achieve both financial and impact-related results.

Courtney holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and graduated summa cum laude from Southern Methodist University with a BBA in Financial Management and a BA in Anthropology.
