Fmr. Dir. Of Product Management at ServiceNow
In my 15 years in tech, I worked at B2C and B2B companies around the world and went from Design to Product Management to Product Leadership. The longest chapter of my career was at ServiceNow, where I led the company’s Strategic Portfolio Management and Impact products. I left my position of a Director of Product at ServiceNow about a year ago to start my own Product Leadership Coaching practice.
Why Product Leadership Coaching? My transition from an individual contributor to a leadership role was not painless. When I first became a manager, two-thirds of my team quit within a month. I was especially sad because I had not taken that job lightly. And yet, I was clearly terrible at it. I took this situation extremely personally, as if my direct reports’ departure indicated that I was fundamentally a bad person. The work I did over the next several months taught me a lot about myself, about others, and about leadership. Long story short: three years later, I was already a director with a big team of PMs who enjoyed working for me and were building world-class products.
This experience motivated me to start a Product Leadership Coaching practice about a year ago. I enjoy helping product leaders with challenges like product strategy and discovery, as well as matters like executive presence, delegation, and feedback.
