Danny Pasawongse is a technology and cybersecurity executive with more than 20 years of experience leading innovation, digital transformation, and cybersecurity resilience across K–12 education. As Executive Director of Technology Infrastructure & Operations for the San Diego County Office of Education, he oversees enterprise technology operations supporting more than 780 schools, 42 districts, and nearly 500,000 students throughout San Diego County. Throughout his career, he has guided technology organizations ranging from independent schools and diocesan systems to some of California’s largest public education agencies, helping institutions modernize infrastructure, strengthen cybersecurity, and improve operational effectiveness. Known for building high-performing teams and fostering strategic partnerships, Danny is also a passionate advocate for cybersecurity education and workforce development, helping create programs that connect students with industry leaders, law enforcement, higher education institutions, and hands-on career pathways in technology. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from University of California, Berkeley and has completed executive education programs through Harvard Kennedy School, Yale University, and USC Rossier School of Education.
