Cecilia is a dynamic operational leader focusing on education, workforce, and healthcare sectors, utilizing marketplace models for growth. She excels in unraveling complex challenges, anticipating policy impacts, and crafting strategies for expansion. With a background in education and law, Cecilia began her career at the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and then advanced to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. She co-founded Ranku, a notable participant in the 2013 Techstars Edtech accelerator. As co-founder and COO of Ranku, Cecilia spearheaded business development, talent acquisition, and operational oversight, culminating in its acquisition by John Wiley & Sons in 2016. Subsequently, she served as COO at PresenceLearning, a leading telehealth company. There, she revolutionized the customer and clinical experience, significantly scaling the business and tripling its revenue. Her leadership was instrumental in establishing operational excellence through strategic initiatives, data-driven dashboards, and converting vision into measurable outcomes. This tenure led to the company’s acquisition in December 2021. Most recently, as CEO of PATHWAYos, a premier work-based learning software provider for school districts nationwide, Cecilia led product consolidation, enhanced customer experience, and refined internal processes for profitability, leading to its acquisition by Vector Solutions in October 2023. Her strategic vision and operational acumen continue to drive substantial growth and success in her endeavors. She holds a JD from the University of Denver, and a BS and an M.Ed. in Education from the University of Minnesota, where she played ice hockey, twice appearing in the Frozen Four.
