FAQ’s

  • How can we engage with the PeakSpan Expert Community (PEC) Network or what does the process look like?

    You can request access to advisors directly through your PeakSpan platform team. We help identify the right individuals based on your goals, whether it’s hiring, GTM strategy, pricing, or customer success, and facilitate the connection. And we think about this well before partnering with you and making an investment.

  • How do you match us within the PEC Network? Can we request a specific advisor based on their background?

    We work with you to understand your company’s goals, and key initiatives prior to investing. From there, we draw on our PEC network across functions and verticals to suggest the best fits, and we often test chemistry and fit. If there’s someone in the network you’re particularly interested in speaking with (e.g., a former CMO from a similar business model), we will prioritize making that connection.

  • What types of support do PEC Members typically provide or what functional expertise exists within the network?

    Our advisors engage across a wide range of areas. Support can range from one-off sessions to more ongoing relationships. Our advisor bench includes executives with leadership backgrounds in Product, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, RevOps, Engineering, HR, Legal, Finance, Partnerships, and more. Many of them have multiple scale-up experiences under their belt.

  • Do advisors get involved in diligence or post-investment only?

    Many of our advisors participate in diligence to provide early feedback, but the real value often comes post-investment, through workshops, coaching, strategic planning, functional support, board leadership and mentorship.

  • Is there a cost to accessing the PEC network and its members?

    As a portfolio company, you have full access to our network, and the first three sessions are on PeakSpan. If a longer-term engagement arises (e.g., board or interim role), we’ll help align expectations early.

  • Can we invite advisors to company offsites, board meetings, or workshops?

    Definitely. Founders often bring PeakSpan advisors into offsites, customer advisory boards, or strategic planning sessions. We’ll help you align the right executive and manage logistics.

  • What if we want to bring an advisor into a formal role (e.g., fractional exec or board member)?

    We’re happy to support deeper engagement. Several of our advisors have taken on fractional or advisory roles within our portfolio companies, and we can help scope and structure the arrangement.
